CHARACTER CREATION
1. Would a character having been injured in their history be considered a defect if they weren't born with it?
A: If it's something that occured in the past and has a reasonable explanation as to how it happened then it's allowed in an application without purchasing.
2. Do kits and apprentices still have -kit and -paw?
A: In Northclan kits are born as -kit but apprentices receive their names at 6 moons from their leader. This changes when they become a warrior depending on their class.
In Eagleclan kits are born as -kit but apprentices pick their names. They'll tell their leader before their ceremony which name they want and when they become warriors they decide if they want to keep that name or change it.
3. Can cats have kittypet names mashed with warrior names? (i.e. Wetsock, Henryfire, etc.)
A: In Eagleclan cats would be allowed to keep their names if they joined the clan as that, since in Eagleclan names are usually decided by warriors themselves anyways! However, in Northclan names would be changed as soon as they joined the clan. It would be considered a ceremony to show that said cat has joined the clan and the clan has accepted them wholeheartedly.
4. are loners allowed to be made via application?
A: They are! there are even some site plots involving loners to check out.
CLAN INFORMATION
1. how does the class system in Northclan work?
A: the higher your rank the closer to the gods you are and the more respected you are by the clan. In Northclan the leader is the closest to the gods which is why s/he is granted nine lives and lives in one of three dens surrounding the spring.
The medicine cat is next in line since s/he communes with the gods frequently. S/he is also given a den by the springs.
Next are elders since they are apart of the council and give advice to the leader. They can make nests around the spring or live in one big den together, it's up to them.
After that families of warriors in the past who have done something proving themselves to the gods are considered high ranking. Since their ancestors were strong they are also expected to be. This is why they get longer names such as Night's Fang or Lynx that Hides in The Snow, to show they're honorable or respected.
lower class families get shorter names. Names like Quickfoot or Mouse for example. This is to show they are lower ranking and have not yet proven themselves to be worthy of a godly name. Cats who do prove themselves are given a new name and kits are given names based on the rank of their families. (Dewkit could either become Morning Dew or Dew depending on their rank)
Some members might deal with discrimination or bullying due to their ranks in the caste but this is rare among warriors since everyone needs to work hard to prove themselves worthy.
2. Is romance with medicine cats against the code?
A: Depends on the clan. In Eagleclan it's okay so long as there's an apprentice to take over. They want to make sure if something happens someone is readily available to take care of the clan. If a medicine cat has kits before taking on an apprentice they will be demoted soon after giving birth and will be forced to train an apprentice to become the new medicine cat.
In Northclan it's completely illegal to mate with a medicine cat because they're considered holy. They've basically given their whole lives up to the gods, and being mates with someone means they cannot devote their time to the gods. Northclan doesn't deal with it if it does happen, other than ridiculing the medicine cat who took on a mate, but the Gods punish it by sending the medicine cat to The Underground.
3. Are leaders allowed to have kits?
A: Yes! In both clans the leaders are allowed to have kits. In Eagleclan the deputy would take over for military decisions. In Northclan it's required for leaders to have kits because the kits would be considered of strong blood and are next in line to lead.
