❝ [NIGHT] OF THE NORTH ❞ pronouns — he/him/his CLAN — Northclan BIOLOGICAL GENDER — male CURRENT AGE — seventy-six moons with four lives left. SEXUALITY — panromantic heterosexual STATUS- widowed APPEARANCE: EYES - jasmine green FUR - solid russian blue MARKINGS - none Scars along his back and legs from many fights. Two nicks in his left ear. Night was born a handsome russian blue. He's a thin blue tom with short fur. His eyes are a gorgeous jasmine green with hues of blue in the center. He's very attraactive to someone who's into skin and bones. No matter how much he eats he cannot get any bigger, which can prove to be a problem against large predators. Even so, he fights well. He uses his tall ears to navigate safely through the territory and runs quickly due to his light weight. Night of the North’s past is nothing more than just a tragic tale of a grieving father. When he was young he was born into a strong, healthy, and high class family. He was the kit of the greatest clan’s leader, Northern Trout That Swims. He was named Nightkit for his blue fur alongside his brother, a solid blue tom named Riverkit. Northern Trout that Swims Was a mean, strict parent. He wanted what was best for his kits and expected an exceptional amount of strength from his firstborn son, Nightkit. When the two toms got their apprentice ceremonies Nightkit was deemed Night’s Fang to show his true strength while his brother became River’s End. Needless to say, River’s End was jealous of Night’s Fang. He envied his brother’s training, wish he had gotten pushed as much as he did. He wanted so badly to be leader that when he and Night’s Fang fought one another he’d go beyond the limit and demand that he draw blood. Northern Trout that Swims saw strength in his second born but was concerned with his issues with jealousy. River’s End was not allowed to become leader for that reason alone. It didn’t help. At one point River’s End tried to kill the leader. He came into his den late at night and prepared to attack, only to have his plans spoiled by his hated brother. Night’s Fang lunged at River’s End, knocking him sideways and alerting Northern Trout that Swims. At once River’s End was exiled for attempting to murder the leader of Northclan. River’s End left, but spat nothing but angry slurs and curses as he dragged his tail out of camp. It took a while for Night’s Fang to recuperate. He finished his training and met a nice girl. Her name was Leaves That Smell of Basil. She was a gorgeous tortoiseshell with eyes made of honey and fur that smelled of spring. She was Night Fang's true love. They were mates for a long time before the discussion of kits came up. He wanted them, she did not. Eventually he became leader, defeating his father in battle. After he was renamed to Night of the North, there was more pressure than ever for him to have kittens. Leaves that Smell of Basil hesitantly complied but soon after the kittens weaned she died in a terrible rockslide that shook the mountain. Night of the North was struck by grief, and swore to be a good father to his kits. That, and a good leader to his clan. He raised the firstborn kit strictly. He expected them to one day take his place as the leader. The second and third kits were loved and cared for, babied by their father who didn't expect much from them. | ❝ PERSONALITY ❞ and plot / thread trackers + strong, good leader, good with kits, tries to fix his flaws = militant, stubborn, strict, competitive - reserved, rude, demanding, self-centered Night of the North is a very militant character. He’s strong, both physically and mentally. He’s reserved and has an indispensable filter. It’s rare to catch him off guard and even rarer to get him riled up. No one can beat him when it comes to that resting bitch face of his. He doesn’t mean to come off as rude but he tends to demand things of his clan, rather than ask for them. He’s always the one in charge in a group and it’s difficult for him to take advice from others. He can be very stubborn and thinks his choice is always the right one. This makes it difficult for him to discuss clan issues with the elders and medicine cat, but he does try to force himself to listen when it comes to their input. Night’s personal life is kept secret from the clan. He rarely talks about himself but when he does it’s about the great battles that he’s won. He often tells stories to kits, most of which are exaggerated and hide the darker details of fighting. This is because he thinks battles are important, and he hates to scare future apprentices into becoming cowards. Everything Night of the North does is in the best interest of the clan. He doesn’t take time out for himself and can always be seen on patrols or discussing clan matters with the council. He always works just that much harder than the next warrior, which probably comes from his competitive drive. He feels he should always be the best at everything, for it will make him a strong leader. He’s even strict towards his kits, demanding that they be the strongest in the clan so that when they inevitably take over (he believes only his kin would be able to beat him in battle) he can rest at peace knowing his clan still has a strong leader. He thinks his clan is dependent on him. They need him. Without him his clan would fall apart, and he is half right. It still doesn’t mean he isn’t a self-centered prick. |
